Band Profile - Approaching Nain
Formed in October, 2005 out of the remains of two local groups, Approaching Nain is a chaotic band from Pella, IA playing a frantic style of discordant hardcore. They have paid their dues, all while maintaining punk rock ethics, playing countless shows simply for the love of music (not money, popularity, or fashion). Approaching Nain views every show as an opportunity to get away from the ordinary, and focus on something that they are passionate about. "They have a lot of energy, and their positive attitude is a good factor in the community." Since the 2006 self-released debut "Young man, I say to you, rise!" Approaching Nain has been on two Midwest tours, survived member changes, and have continued to grow and mature as a band. Now, with their most solid lineup to date, they are set to release their S/T CD-R through Wolvesfightgood Records which will be followed up shortly by a DVD and 10" split with Spanish Harlem. What started out as a humble project has brought them many places and allowed them to make many friends, they feel truly blessed for everything, and look forward to a promising future.
